The killing spree took place the day after the inauguration of President Barack Obama.
Luke, arrested after a car chase, told police officers that he acted because he was "fighting extinction" of the white race. He said that he had enough ammunition to "kill 'nonwhite people' such as African Americans, Hispanics and Jewish people." According to the police report, Luke said that he planned to go to a synagogue in order to "kill as many Jews as possible during bingo night." According to police investigators, Luke read White supremacist web sites and told the police that "people on these sites spoke the truth about the demise of the white race. White Supremacy and Islamic Extremism
Another terrorist attack on American soil, a national outbreak of disease; this is all it would take for a few of the White Power organizations to try and take hold of a segment of power within the United States. During the time of the Holocaust, an event that both of these groups say never happened, they were strong allies in seeking to destroy America and World Jewry. This is why it is very likely that they will continue to enhance their relationship with one another. To the Jewish community here in the U.S. it should be a definite concern, especially in the South where White power groups have their stronghold. Here in our southern towns where the people that make up the demographic of the community separate themselves into racially segregated society, there has also emerged a large presence of the Islamic Community. To differentiate, most Muslims are not part of their extremist counterparts, but unfortunately extremists are cultivated here in our own backyards. White Supremacists and Islamic Extremists have and will continue to ally with one another if they see it will benefit their organizations.
For years we in America have brushed under the rug the threat we face from terrorists here at home, white supremacists. Some people mistake the white supremacists with the Christian Right. As racists they can not be considered part of the Christian Right. The Christian Right prides itself in love of Israel and people of all nations of the world. White Supremacist use religion as one avenue to coerce people into joining their ranks who would not usually look their way. These groups distort the Bible into racial rhetoric and unfortunately some people buy into it.
Now that we are clear on who the White Supremacists are not, let’s see who they are.
There are countless organizations that boast this kind of ideology. Some of the most well known are Aryan Nations, Ku Klux Klan, the Hammerskins and countless more groups exist. They always morph into splinter groups changing part or all of their organizations name, but their ideology persists. They want to eliminate all non-whites and create a land free of what most consider minority races. The frightening and disturbing thing about these organizations is that they are lying in wait for some large catastrophe to happen here in the United States. At that time they can try to muster the support for a revolution. In order for a “revolution” they would need something extremely big to happen, a terrorist attack from foreigners or something else considered absolutely horrendous, it would have to take place in states that have a large presence of white supremacists.
People who belong to these organizations have in the past and are still working themselves into politics, they are doctors and lawyers and pillars of their own communities. All it takes for something like this to happen is the idea of most Americans to believe it will never happen, this is what will get us in trouble. We must all learn from the past.
